Alien Life Coming to Titanfall, New Titans Will Have to Wait

It has recently been revealed that Respawn Entertainments popular FPS, Titanfall, will be bringing new Alien life forms to the game in the soon to come DLC.

Titanfall’s Community Manager, Abbie Heppe, took the time to speak with IGN.com and had this to say “We are going to have maps added, and we’re trying to give players as much of a varied look at things as we can so that is definitely a possibility,” At this time Respawn has plans to release 3 DLC packs, all of which will have new territories to go along with them.

When asked about Titanfall and the possibility of new Titans, Abbie replied “In order to [add a Titan] it takes so much balancing to make all the Titan abilities work with each other, and then against pilots. It’s a huge undertaking. Originally we just had the Atlas titans and then the team refused to add in the rest of the Titans until we were all sure that that one fitted perfectly with everything else in the game, so… I’m not announcing any new Titans right now.”

Alien life may be coming soon to Titanfall, but because  Titans “take so much time to balance” we may not find ourselves with any new ones for a while. With that said, you’ll just have to make do with what you’ve got.

Even though Titanfall has had some minor issue on the PC the game overall is still one of the best out there this year. “Many of those who have played Titanfall, consider it the first game for the next-gen consoles to feel next-gen” says Daemon Hatfield, TV show host at IGN.

“We’re always looking towards iterating and what’s next and what we can learn. So would we do everything exactly the same way? I don’t think any game developer ever would tell you yes. I think we’re always looking at going bigger and better so we’ll see what happens in the future,” Heppe added.

“I’m really, really happy with what the team has done though. As a start and exploring what narrative elements we can bring into multiplayer… being one of the first companies that’s doing it the way we did it, I’m pretty happy about that. It’s one of my favorite ways to play the game.”

I imagine we’d all be as happy as Abbie is right now, with all the attention that game has gotten so far.
