Google Glass Predicts Future With Luxottica
“Excited? Because we definitely are.” ~ Google
Yesterday, Google had announced its partnership with Luxottica for one of their undergoing projects, Google Glass. The Luxottica Group is the leader in premium, luxury and sports eyewear. Controlling over 80% of the worlds major eyewear brands, some of these include: Ray-Ban, Oakley, Vogue-Eyewear, Persol and Arnette.
What Is Google Glass?
Google Glass, or “Glass” is essentially a computer in the form of eyewear that you can control — with your eye. You’ve probably seen something similar to it in a Sci-Fi movie, or if you watched Dragon Ball Z then you would recognize it as a Scouter. The whole idea of it is to allow you to seamlessly go about your day and still be able to send emails, check your Facebook — you can even Skype with it if you wanted to. No longer having to worry about losing your phone or needing to pull out your laptop to send an email; because you can do it all just by wearing a pair of glasses.
Google states “Luxottica understands how to build, distribute and sell great products that their clients and consumers love – something we care deeply about at Glass, too. Today marks the start of a new chapter in Glass’s design.”
