New VR Headset Announced by True Player Gear

True Player Gear, a 5-employee tech startup based in Montreal has recently announced a new alternative VR headset than that of the Oculus Rift and Sony’s Project Morpheus.

They’ve been working on the VR headset or what they call “Totem” for the past nine years so far. In that time True Player has been working on the project in the dark and never mentioned it to the populous. In the past 2 weeks however they have started to spread word of their new VR headset and letting the public know about it in preparation for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign they will have for the Totem; where they’re looking to get at least $500,000.

No official release date for the Totem, but if funding goes well on the Kickstarter campaign they hope to have it out in stores by Christmas.
